Dr. Tuchsen is a board-certified General Surgeon who treats the full range of general surgical disorders with a special interest in Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) and minimally invasive/ da Vinci Robotic Surgery. He also has extensive experience in biliary/gastrointestinal surgery, breast surgery, intestinal disorders, and surgical treatment of all types of abdominal wall hernias.

In addition to his successful practice, Dr. Tuchsen is committed to helping others in need. He is an active member of Faith in Practice, a non-profit surgical mission group, traveling annually to Guatemala to provide free surgical care to the indigent population. Dr. Tuchsen currently serves as the Chief of Surgery at North Central Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Tuchsen is married and has five children. He and his family are also active members of Concordia Lutheran Church. Besides astronomy, his personal interests include saltwater aquariums, camping, and computer technology.
